Terms of Service
Last updated: April 18, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BarBeacon (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
BarBeacon provides email alerts about bars and related venues in San Diego County. Alert categories include happy hours, live music and events, sports bar schedules, and craft beer availability. We aggregate data from sources including venue websites, Google Places, Untappd, Bandsintown, Songkick, TheSportsDB, and user-submitted reports. We use automated extraction (including large language models) to structure this data. BarBeacon does not sell, serve, or promote the consumption of alcohol.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 21 years old to use the Service. Receiving alerts about bars does not entitle you to enter or drink at any venue — venues set their own age and identification policies.
4. Plans and Billing
BarBeacon offers three subscription tiers: Single Alert ($3/month), Multi Alert ($7/month), and All Access ($12/month). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and it will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.
5. Accuracy of Information
Bar information (happy hour times, event listings, sports broadcasts, beer availability) is aggregated from third-party sources and may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect. BarBeacon provides this information for convenience only and does not guarantee its accuracy. Always confirm details with the venue before going. BarBeacon is not responsible for missed deals, cancelled events, or any decisions made based on our alerts.
6. Responsible Use
BarBeacon does not encourage or promote excessive alcohol consumption. If you or someone you know needs support with alcohol use, resources are available at SAMHSA’s National Helpline (1-800-662-4357). Never drink and drive.
7. Limitation of Liability
BarBeacon is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, missed alerts, inaccurate information, or decisions made based on our content.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
